The 2016 Honda Civic has been properly unveiled and it’s the Civic you’ve been waiting for.

The last-generation Honda Civic had trouble out of the gate, with the Japanese automaker quickly revamping it shortly after it arrived on the market. Now, Honda is hoping to turn the page with its all-new 10th-generation model that has been rebuilt from the ground up. In fact, Honda claims that the new 2016 Civic is the biggest complete redesign for the model ever as it hopes to recapture the sporty appeal it used to be known for.

Built on a wheelbase that is 1.2 inches longer, the new Civic sits one inch lower and is two inches wider.

The new Civic will come standard with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 158 horsepower while a more powerful turbocharged 1.5-liter mill will be available with 174 hp. The company is being vague on fuel economy figures, but promises that it’ll deliver over 40 mpg on the highway.
