We know these cars have almost nothing to do with each other, but we are equally excited about both of them.

The rear-wheel-drive BMW M2 could be the BMW we’ve been hoping for to restore our faith in the German brand, while the AWD Ford Focus RS is a hooner’s dream come true.

The M2 will be powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six engine with 370 hp and 343 lb-ft of torque. The Focus RS will have a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder with 350 hp and 350 lb-ft. Wait a second. That means only 20 horsepower separates the two, and the Ford actually has more torque.

Which awesome sports compact are you more excited for? Vote in the poll below for the one you want more.

But first, read more about the BMW M2 here, and the Ford Focus RS here.
