The facelifted, 2017 Mercedes-Benz SL has leaked ahead of its official debut at the 2015 LA Auto Show.

Already teased by the German automaker, one website has leaked the official photos of the updated SL revealing its new styling that is heavily inspired by the new Mercedes-AMG GT sports car. Along with the new, narrower and arched headlights that include LED running lights, Mercedes has given the SL a new hood and front bumper with a design that reflects other recently updated Mercedes models. In the rear, it features updated tail lights and a rear bumper that has small vents located just behind the wheels.

Unfortunately like most leaks, technical details on the facelifted SL are still unclear, but it will reportedly get an updated nine-speed automatic transmission, the Dynamic Select system and Active Body Control for enhanced handling. Expect some minor engine updates to boost performance and fuel economy for the updated SL as well.

The roadster will make its official debut early next week at the 2015 LA Auto Show, so check back with AutoGuide.com for all the details on the 2017 Mercedes-Benz SL as we’ll be reporting live from the show floor.
