2016 Honda Civic Red Bull Global Rallycross Race Car Video, First Look

The 2016 Honda Civic coupe is going racing.

Introduced at the 2016 New York Auto Show, the 2016 Honda Civic Red Bull Global Rallycross race car packs a serious punch with over 600 horsepower on tap. According to the Japanese automaker, the coupe is capable of hitting 60 mph from a standstill in a mere 1.9 seconds while being able to withstand 70-foot table-top jumps found in the Red Bull Global Rallycross series.

The race car is developed in collaboration with Red Bull and champion-winning team Olsbergs MSE and Sebastian Ericksson along with Joni Wiman will be drivers for Team Honda.

The 2016 Honda Civic Red Bull Global Rallycross race car will make its competition debut on May 21 and 22 at a double header event at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Phoenix, Arizona.
