The next-generation 2019 Bentley Continental GT Convertible has been spied testing.

The British automaker is actually trying to be a bit clever by using plastic pieces to cover up the new styling of the next-generation model, which explains why this particular prototype doesn’t appear to be drastically different. Still, don’t expect any major changes to the new Bentley Continental GTC’s looks, as the biggest change is all underneath the sheetmetal.

The luxury sports convertible and its coupe counterpart will ride on the newly-developed MSB platform that also underpins the new Porsche Panamera. The platform’s main focus is to shed weight, so expect the new Bentley to shave around 200 pounds from the current weight.

The new Bentley Continental coupe is expected to arrive dealerships for the 2018 model year and the convertible will follow a year later.
