The entire Hyundai lineup is slowly growing up.

With the Hyundai Elantra recently being overhauled, the Accent is next on the Korean automaker’s list. Although the prototype is still heavily camouflaged, we can see that the Hyundai Accent sedan’s design will mature, just like the rest of Hyundai’s lineup.

Expect the new Accent to look more upscale than the current model with the front and rear ends following in the footsteps of the redesigned Elantra.

Rumor has it that the 2018 Hyundai Accent will only be offered in sedan form, which means the five-door model will be axed. In its place, Hyundai could turn to a B-segment crossover, similar to the Kia Soul with a boxy designed targeting younger buyers.

Expect the 2018 Hyundai Accent to make its debut sometime next year.
