New special edition models for the Mercedes-Benz SL and SLC roadsters have been announced.

Launching later this year, customers can choose from the Mercedes SLC300 RedArt Edition, AMG SLC43 Performance Studio RedArt package and the SL designo Edition on the SL450 and SL550 models. The special editions for the SLC will be offered on 2018 model year cars, while the designo Edition will be available on the 2017 model year SL roadster.

Starting with the SLC300 RedArt Edition, the German automaker gave its sportier droptop a Selenite Grey Metallic paint, edition-specific exterior accents in Gloss Red including the front spoiler, intake arches, rear diffuser and side fins. Each corner has been outfitted with an edition-specific 18-inch twin five-spoke wheel finished in highly polished silver. Performance has been enhanced with large brake discs and red calipers sporting Mercedes-Benz lettering. Inside, there is exclusive RedArt-stylized leather and nappa leather upholstery, contrasted by Silver Pearl nappa leather inserts and red stitching. The RedArt Edition logo can also be seen on the headrest. Look for the 2018 Mercedes SLC300 RedArt Edition to arrive in the U.S. this summer.

Available as an option package, the SLC43 Performance Studio RedArt features designo Selenite Grey Magno paint and red trim elements similar to the SLC300 RedArt Edition. Inside, the AMG SLC43 benefits from black leather seats with Silver Pearl nappa leather inserts and red contrast piping.

For the more luxurious roadster driver, there is the SL450 and SL550 designo Edition. The special model focuses on more exclusivity with shoppers getting to choose from either Brilliant Blue Metallic or Cardinal Red Metallic paint. Staggered 19-inch front and 20-inch rear AMG 10-spoke wheels have been bolted on, along with chrome flics in the front bumper. Badges with the designo Edition logo are also placed laterally between the chrome accents on the fenders.

Inside is where a lot of the work is being done on the SL designo Edition. The seats and door center panel are wrapped in Porcelain/Black designo nappa leather with an exclusive designo layout. The roof liner is in Porcelain designo DINAMICA and designo seat belts in white give the Roadster a classy cabin.
