Volvo has released a teaser photo of a new crossover ahead of its possible Geneva Motor Show debut.

Although the Swedish manufacturer hasn’t revealed what the new model is yet, based on everything we know, it’s a pretty safe bet that it’s the new XC60.

Whatever the case, the front end is certainly changed. Although this image shares the XC90’s “Thor’s Hammer” headlights, in this vehicle, the hammer’s handle extends all the way to the grille.

The XC60 is Volvo’s mid-size SUV. Although it’s smaller than the XC90, it will be based on the same Scalable Premium Architecture (SPA platform). As such, power is likely to come from the 2.0-liter turbocharged four cylinder engine, with the potential for a hybrid and even an all-electric drivetrain, as well.

The XC60 will be joined by an S60 sedan and V60 wagon, filling out the range, when it arrives. Expect to the see the Volvo XC60 as a 2018 model.
