Will Margot Robbie and Nissan Be Better Than Matthew McConaughey and Lincoln?

Actor Margot Robbie has been signed on as Nissan’s electric vehicle ambassador.

The actor, who starred in The Wolf of Wall Street and Suicide Squad, made her debut as the EV ambassador by racing the all-electric BladeGlider sports car concept at the famous Grand Prix circuit in Monaco.

“It’s a really exciting time for electric vehicles,” said Robbie in a statement. “More people are choosing to go electric, leading the way to a more sustainable future and the Nissan BladeGlider hints at the future of smarter performance cars.”

The BladeGlider is a three-seat fully electric sports car concept that Nissan is using to prove that electric cars don’t have to be boring. With a drift mode and the ability to hit 62 mph in less than five seconds, the concept shines some light on how Nissan’s vision of mobility in the future might look like.

The first video with Robbie as Nissan’s EV ambassador is admittedly much better and makes more sense than actor Matthew McConaughey’s commercials with Lincoln. Watch the first video below:
