Infiniti might finally have a real M4 competitor on its hands.

Called the Infiniti Q60 Project Black S Concept, the stylish coupe made its debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show bringing 400 horsepower from a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine. It is also paired with a kinetic energy system, the same type of technology you see on Formula 1 race cars. The system harvests power from the brakes and exhaust gasses at the turbocharger to boost power output by up to 25 percent, which means the Q60 Project Black S Concept has around 500 hp.

2017 Geneva Motor Show Coverage

Along with more aggressive styling, there are a set of 21-inch wheels, wider rubber, chassis and suspension tuning and even a bit of weight has been dropped although Infiniti doesn’t share just how much. Unfortunately, the Project Black S Concept is being used as a study and the Japanese automaker is gauging interest based on the feedback it receives.

A 3.0 or 3.5 V6 with twin turbo engine is better for smaller coupes and sedans, heavier vehicles need smaller or displacement V8 and V8 turbo engines for more torque and horsepower even though they will burn more fuel.
