There’s no need to visit a dealership to test drive the new Volkswagen Atlas.

The German automaker has teamed up with Amazon Prime Now to offer on-demand test drives of the 2018 Volkswagen Atlas SEL Premium for two consecutive weekends: September 22 to September 24, and September 29 to October 1. Called the VW Atlas Prime Now Test Drive Program, it will offer Amazon Prime members in Los Angeles and Chicago the opportunity to sign up for a limited number of home-based test drives of the new SUV.

If you’re interested, you can schedule a 45- to 60-minute test drive through Amazon Prime Now, and the vehicle will be delivered to your desired location along with an Atlas expert. Customers that are interested outside the designated zip codes area will be prompted to schedule an appointment with their closest dealership for a test drive.

We checked out the Amazon Prime Now test drive sign-up form and it’s a rather painless process. If you’re in one of the designed zip codes area, you can select from a variety of time slots (they all appear to be two-hour slots), and then you simply provide the address and your contact information. You must be 25 years of age or older and must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license to schedule the test drive.

“We are very excited to work with Amazon to introduce more consumers to our newly-launched, seven-seater SUV through this unique test drive experience,” said Greg Tebbutt, senior director, Transformation, Strategy and Communications, Volkswagen of America. “We know people have limited time and are always looking for convenient ways to test out a new product, and with the Amazon Prime Now service we are able to bring the all-new Atlas to customers’ doorstep.”
