We have some exciting news to share!

We are launching ACDelco’s Restore and Ride Challenge in the coming weeks, where our AutoGuide.com editors will face a series of driving challenges in pre-owned GM vehicles that have been updated with new ACDelco parts. As the true GM original equipment parts brand, ACDelco maintenance and repair parts will give the editors confidence during this challenge because most of the parts replaced are the same as those installed during the production of the vehicle.

To kick off the series, we asked each editor what they think is the greatest GM vehicle of all time. Here’s what they said. Have your say on what you think is the best GM ever in the poll below.

Jodi Lai, Editor-in-Chief: Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon

Supercharged V8-powered rear-drive wagon with a manual transmission? Sign me up right away.

Stephen Elmer, Managing Editor of Off-Road.com: Chevrolet SSR

First of all, this choice is near impossible because General Motors has sold so many great cars over the years. But if there is one vehicle that sticks out to me, it has to be the Chevy SSR. There is just something special about that design.

Alex Reid, Production Editor: 1968 Pontiac GTO

The 1968 Pontiac GTO is what comes to my mind when I think of the term “muscle car.” This GM A platform body is just about the perfect design in my eyes.

Sami Haj-Assaad, Features Editor: Buick Regal GNX

The best General Motors car of all time is very easily the all-black everything Buick Regal GNX. This high-performance sleeper was a monster in the ’80s and could keep up with exotics.

Plot twist! They won’t be getting these dream GM vehicles, but will be driving some other pretty cool GM cars instead.

Jodi will be driving a 2007 Cadillac CTS. “I’m really excited for the driving challenges,” she says. “I’m technically the boss, and the boss needs something a little fancier, so this Cadillac fits the bill.”

Steve will be in a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT Z71. “We don’t know what this upcoming competition is going to consist of yet, but that’s OK because I’m bringing a swiss army knife to the challenge,” Steve says.

Alex will be driving a 2012 GMC Terrain. “The anticipation is killing me and I hope the challenge is something my Terrain will be amazing at, maybe a cargo capacity test?!”

And Sami will be driving a 2012 Buick Regal. “This Regal should ride like royalty.”

What GM vehicle do you think is the best of all time? Vote below!

Will the new parts on Jodi’s 2007 Cadillac CTS lead her to victory in the ACDelco Restore and Ride Challenge? Watch the first video in the series below:

If we look back, as the question suggests, we'll be hard pressed to pass up the Buick Regal in all it's iterations, especially the GNX. The V6 engine is legendary. Fast forward to todays lineup and the Caddy CTS-V machines outshine them all. The Sport Wagon, as Jodi Lai suggests, was GM's best sleeper and a gem to drive. One Saturday afternoon made me a believer. I loved it. However, I would still choose the GNX despite it's technological shortcomings.
