2019 Kia Sorento Shows Off Its Off-Road Prowess

Set to make its debut at the 2017 L.A. Auto Show, the Kia Sorento is getting a refresh with updated styling.

Full details on the updated SUV won’t be revealed until November 30, but the Korean automaker is already flaunting the three-row SUV’s off-road capability. As part of the unveiling later this week, Kia will show off the updated Sorento taking on Moab’s treacherous Hell’s Revenge, considered one of the most challenging and obstacle-laden off-road trails in the world.

Even Kia acknowledges that most of Sorento owners will never take their SUVs to the extreme limit, but added that “It’s nice to know that a weekend adventure off the beaten path is possible.”

Look for more information on the refreshed 2019 Kia Sorento later this week, as well as a video of the SUV taking on the six-and-a-half mile rock-crawling trek, including the ultimate obstacle known as Hell’s Gate.
