The Grand Tour is looking for a new resident racing driver for the second season of the show, and the guys are trying out a handful of different candidates.

Jeremy Clarkson’s idea for a new racing driver on the show was Mark Webber, but unfortunately, the Porsche factory driver turned out to be a bit too biased towards the German manufacturer’s product. Then Richard Hammond found a stunt man who was interested in the gig, but after crashing two of their cars, he wasn’t offered the job. Now it’s time for James May to give his candidate a try.

James’ candidate for the show’s new driver is a car thief who has “paid his dues” and is now looking to reenter the world and become a normalized citizen. They guys give him a beautiful new BMW M4 CS to lap the track in, but soon after find themselves calling the ‘rozzers’ for some help.

Check out the teaser embedded above. The Grand Tour season 2 will go live on Amazon Prime on December 8th.
