Aston Martin will debut its all-new V8 Vantage on November 21st, but the automaker is readying us for the big day with a new video featuring Red Bull Racing F1 driver Max Verstappen.

The short three-minute video shows Verstappen riding shotgun in a V8 Vantage prototype with Aston Martin’s chief vehicle dynamics engineer Matt Becker for a few quick laps of the UK’s Rockingham circuit. Becker then pits to let Verstappen have a go, who promptly gets the Vantage all sorts of sideways.

Interestingly, Becker lets some important info on the new Vantage slip in this video. He says the car is making “just over 500 horsepower,” and “680 Nm of torque,” which is equivalent to about 501 lb-ft. He also says it weighs 1,530 kg dry, or about 3,373 lbs, which is 200 kilos (440 lbs) lighter than the DB11. Verstappen mentions the car allows you to be playful through the corners but is still easy to control, which was a goal the engineering team hoped to achieve with the new Vantage.

Under the hood of the new V8 Vantage will likely be the twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 found in the DB11, which is sourced from Mercedes-AMG. In the DB11 V8 the engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and we’re expecting that to be the case with the V8 Vantage as well.

Stay tuned for more information following the Vantage’s debut on November 21st.
