YouTuber MattyB727 has caught a prototype testing at Monza Circuit, based on the Porsche 911 GT2 RS.

Heavily camouflaged, this particular Porsche prototype appears to be an even more hardcore version of the Porsche 911 GT2 RS, possibly a track-only variant. On the front bumper there are a few canards helping divert air, while the massive rear spoiler looks like something you would off a Cup car. The front hood also sports a large center opening, something that isn’t seen on the standard Porsche 911 GT2 RS.

For now, this prototype remains a mystery but it’s clear Porsche is working on a more hardcore version of the 911 GT2 RS. YouTube commentators have noted a high-pitched “whirring” sound when the car brakes, suggesting it could have a kinetic energy recovery system.
