Canada Gets Its Own Special 2019 Ram 1500 Sport
The 2019 Ram 1500 Sport is built exclusively for Canada and will go on sale in the second quarter of 2018.
Unveiled at the Canadian International Auto Show, the Ram 1500 Sport is designed specifically for Canadian truck buyers, who have made the Sport trim the country’s most popular Ram light-duty model. It features a monochromatic exterior, which is available in nine colors, and set off by a black billet bar grille with RAM lettering. The standard bi-LED headlamps have black internal bezels, complemented by LED signature daytime running lights and LED fog lamps. Also blacked out on the special pickup are the hood badging and side window surrounds. Customers looking for an even more aggressive look can opt for the Sport hood.
The truck rolls standard on black 20-inch wheels, but Ram Canada is also offering optional 22-inch “Black Noise” wheels, which are available for the first time on 4×4 models. Black badging can also be found on the tailgate, along with a chiseled all-black Ram’s head logo and a “Sport” badge, reserved exclusively for the Canadian market.

Powering the 2019 Ram 1500 Sport is a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine with 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. Mated to the powerplant is a TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission.
Inside the cabin, there are power heated cloth/vinyl seats with a special hex insert mesh fabric, which are unique to Canada. Optional leather heated and ventilated seats also feature a unique technical embossed texture, reserved only for Canada.
The model will be available in Quad or Crew Cab configurations and is offered as a 4×2 or 4×4. Pricing and fuel economy for the Canada-exclusive 2019 Ram 1500 Sport will be announced closer to its launch.
