Leaked images have revealed the new 2019 Ferrari 488 Pista ahead of its debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month.

The 488 Pista is a track-tuned version of the 488 GTB that follows in the footsteps of other hardcore V8 Ferraris like the 458 Speciale, 430 Scuderia and 360 Challenge Stradale. Rumors indicated it would receive the storied ‘GTO’ moniker, but these leaks have revealed it will instead be called ‘Pista’ – Italian for ‘track’.

The 488 Pista is expected to make around 700 hp from its twin-turbocharged 3.9-liter V8 engine, which is derived from the 488 Challenge racecar’s V8. The revised bodywork will make a considerable amount of downforce, pushing the stickier, wider Michelin Sport Cup 2 tires into the road at speed. Ferrari engineers also put the 488 on a diet in moving to the Pista, although it’s not yet clear just how much lighter it is than the standard car.

We’ll have all the official details on the Ferrari 488 Pista following its debut at Geneva. Stay tuned for more information.

Now this could very will be the fastest car around the 'Ring. Sadly, Ferrari won't be interested as usual except for its own tracks or they might be afraid of the lunatic GT2 fucking RS.
