Nissan Has Created the Ultimate Truck for BBQ Enthusiasts

The Nissan “Smokin’ Titan” has debuted at the 2018 Work Truck Show.

Designed to take barbeque to a whole new level, the Smokin’ Titan pickup features a fully integrated in-truck-bed smoker and mobile kitchen. Nissan says it’s a world’s first, with the Titan featuring a custom flatbed with a built-in Lang BBQ smoker and an abundance of features for any chef.

The project started its life as a Titan XD Gas King Cab and began its transformation with the addition of a custom CM Truck Beds aluminum flatbed. This allowed space for three food prep stations, each with a Partner Steel aluminum double burner prep stove, along with a Churrasco Brazilian Wood cutting board. Easily accessible thanks to a step up from the flat bed is a Teton Steel custom 24×24 sink and water storage system. If cold storage is a priority, the sink and water system can be swapped out with a Yeti Cooler.

Located in the second row of the King Cab is an ARB 50-quart Fridge Freezer and Slide, which was added to the backseat along with a custom built spice rack.

The best part of the project however, is located inside the custom trailer behind the truck. The factory bed was removed from the Titan XD and a B&S Custom trailer was fitted to prevent heat from affecting the truck, since food smoking can create heat up to 600 degrees. The custom bed-trailer features a pair of Nissan Titan Boxes as lockable dry storage, while a B&S Custom sliding tray was designed to easily slide the smoker in and out of the bed. When the smoker isn’t in use, the whole trailer can be secured with a steel Diamondback SE Tonneau cover.

Nissan then decided it had to give the Smokin’ Titan a fitting appearance, applying an IF Signs Custom Flame wrap to the exterior. It also rides on 20-inch Icon Alloy Alpha wheels, wrapped with 275/25/20 Nitto Terra Grappler tires.

Look for the Nissan Smokin’ Titan to make several appearance this spring and summer at outdoor adventure shows and exhibitions.
