Hey Look, It's the New Mercedes-Benz A-Class Sedan

The Mercedes-Benz A-Class hatchback has already made its debut, and it appears as though the related A-Class sedan has now leaked online.

The A-Class sedan will be the version of the luxury compact that the United States will receive. In Europe, the A-Class hatch is offered with a 160 hp 1.4-liter turbo or a 221 hp 2.0-liter turbo, so both of those engines could be on the cards for US-bound sedan models as well. A seven-speed automatic transmission is also available on the A-Class hatch in Europe and will likely appear in the US-spec sedan, while 4Matic all-wheel drive will be offered as an option too.

Inside, the sedan should be identical to the hatchback. That means the new widescreen ‘Mercedes-Benz User Experience’ infotainment system will be present, along with colorful ambient lighting, turbine-style air vents, a center-console touchpad controller and other pieces from the Mercedes-Benz parts bin.

Based off of this leak, it looks as though the A-Class sedan will look just like the hatchback from the A-Pillar forward. From the B-Pillar back, however, the sedan features a rearward sloping roofline with a short overhang and small trunk area/decklid. It stays true to the Mercedes-Benz Concept A design study that inspired it, but is expectedly toned down in comparison.

It's a lovely drawing, which means it will look nothing like this when it's unveiled.
