The Pininfarina PF0 electric hypercar, set to debut this week, will be able to accelerate from 0-60 mph in less than two seconds, will top out at over 186 mph and will have a driving range of 310 miles.

Pininfarina, once the preferred styling house of Ferrari, has received a second lease on life thanks to backing from Indian automotive giant Mahindra. One way it’s using this cash injection is by putting a new electric hypercar into production called the PF0. The vehicle, set to debut this week during Monterey Car Week in California, is described as “the most beautiful electric hypercar in the world,” with a “super clean” and “impossibly simple,” design.

“A full-scale design intent model will reveal full details of how Luca Borgogno and the Pininfarina SpA team under Group Design Director Carlo Bonzanigo have envisioned the PF0’s combination of design and technology,” the company said in a statement. “In addition, further interior design details and views from the cockpit will be presented to highlight the craftsmanship inside the car, and the classic Pininfarina focus on both driver and passenger experience.”

“No more than 150 PF0s will then be hand-crafted in Cambiano, Italy by the Pininfarina SpA Atelier from 2020,” Pininfarina added. “Together they will deliver a hypercar with unmatched standards of performance, beauty and elegance, combining form and function in perfect harmony, and with innovative technology and packaging.”

The company claims the PF0 will feature a full carbon fiber exterior and chassis. This lightweight construction, along with the powerful electric powertrain, will enable the vehicle to accelerate from 0-60 mph in under two seconds and crack 186 mph (300 km/h). It will also have a “potential” range of up to 310 miles. It will also feature a head-up display developed using input from Formula E driver Nick Heidfeld. The German former F1 driver also lent his expertise to the interior designers, ensuring the layout and design of the dash is ideal for performance driving.

The Pininfarina PF0 will make its debut this week, at which point photos and full details of the electric hypercar will become available.
