Information about the upcoming Hyundai Veloster Turbo is pretty easy to come by these days, as you might have seen on our site or anywhere else, really, but we’ve got something else up our sleeve.

Hyundai announced pricing for its Veloster Turbo hot hatch today with a starting MSRP of $21,950 with a six-speed manual before a $775 destination fee. With 201 hp, the forced-induction version makes 63 hp more than the naturally-aspirated version.

The Hyundai Veloster has been celebrated for its quirky looks, but hindered by its lack of performance. To stave off the stigma, we were introduced to the Hyundai Veloster Turbo at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show, and now Hyundai CEO John Krafcik has leaked that the turbo package will cost a mere $1,600 more than the base MSRP of the Veloster. 

Rhys Millen Racing has partnered up with Disney XD’s upcoming animated Motorcity series to compete in the 2012 Global RallyCross Championship season in a custom Hyundai Veloster that will be piloted by Stephan Verdier.
