Expect fewer MINI models to be available in the British automaker’s lineup when the brand enters its fourth generation.

MINI has announced that it will debut a new navigation system and child seat at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.

Some Mini models could be on the chopping block, as the British automaker mulls over the possibility of some major changes to its lineup in the near future.

It’s been over a year since rumors first spilled out that MINI had shelved its Rocketman model, and recently the British automaker confirmed the Rocketman will remain a concept.

BMW is bringing out a new batch of FWD cars all based on the same platform, and AutoExpress says there may be as many as 20 different models using these underpinnings. 

Going after the big boys in the sports car world, Mini just debuted the Mini JCW GP, the brand’s fastest car yet at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. 

The all new MINI Paceman will be heading to the 2012 Paris Motor Show for its official unveiling, adding the seventh model to the British automaker’s lineup. Now, MINI is mulling over the idea of adding a small SUV, sports car and sedan to bring raise range to 10 vehicles.

MINI might be changing the way we think of minivans by the year 2020. The British automaker is considering expanding its lineup to include a five-door station wagon, a van, and possibly even a notchback sedan.
