If you want to keep up with the rest of the supercar industry these days, you’ve got to be playing around with active aerodynamics. And now GM is primed to throw its hat in the ring with the catchily named “variable-width aerodynamic spoiler assemblies and control logic for motor vehicles.”

The next all-electric Genovation GXE will be based on the Chevrolet Corvette C7 and will have a price tag of $750,000.

After testing for the Rolex 24 at Daytona wearing complete camouflage over the past few weeks, the Chevrolet Corvette C7.R has finally been revealed at the North American International Auto Show today.

As expected, Chevrolet Racing will be back in action for the 2014 season.

Modernized as the C7 Corvette is, automatic models still use a six-speed automatic. That won’t be the case much longer and an SAE technical paper is revealing key details about the new slushbox.

As cars go, the Corvette is about as American as fireworks bursting into a stars and stripes pattern on the Fourth of July.
