The Jet race seems to be over. There are no passenger planes as fast as the Concorde anymore, and there are no military jets as fast as the SR-71 Blackbird anymore either.

Ever dreamed of owning your own exotic car collection? Well, if you recently won a hefty lottery jackpot then Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale has you covered. The allocator of fine machines has assembled six of the most exotic vehicles ever made and is offering them for a lump-sum purchase of $9 million.

Koenigsegg has kept the full and official specifications on the Agera R well under wraps, leading many to wonder just how super this supercar would be. But now it’s all fully disclosed and it may just live up to its billing.

Swedish supercar maker Koenigsegg has found a way to make 1,115 horsepower look even more impressive than it sounds, (well, sounds to say anyway), thanks to a matte-white and exposed dry carbon body.

The Geneva Motor Show is shaping up to be one hell of a car show. And now adding to the already impressive list of debuts is Koenigsegg’s Agera R, featuring a 5.0L twin-turbo V8 that puts out an astonishing 1,115-hp with 885 ft-lbs of torque. That’s four digits fellas, but there is a catch – that’s on E85. Assuming that if you could afford the Agera R, buying E85 by the gallon won’t be an issue, but if you’re in a bind and stuck with 95 octane, the Agera R still pushes out 940-hp with 811 ft-lbs of torque.

We could spend hours on how jealous we are about this 21-year-old, or how spoiled he is and how he’ll never know what it’s like to have a tough life. But we just have to respect his pure taste in supercars and the fact that he actually pursued an education rather than sitting back, driving his fine collection of cars and living off his (clearly affluent) father.

In perhaps the ultimate example of schadenfreude, more details have surfaced surrounding the story of the turquoise Koenigsegg and Lamborghini that were given the boot outside the ultra-ritzy Harrods department store in London.

It turns out that the owners of the supercars were also members of the Qatari royal family, the owners of Harrods. Most people take some joy in seeing the wealthy get taken down a peg, but when you consider that they just bought Harrods for $2.3 billion, it almost makes sense for them to park in an illegal but convenient spot. Not only can they afford to pay the fines, they can probably afford to abandon their cars and buy another one if it proves to be more expedient than waiting for a traffic warden to come remove the device.

Here, a visiting middle-eastern man, vacationing in London for the summer, learned that the hard way, when his matching, turquoise Lamborghini Murcielago SV and Koenigsegg CCXR got the boot – the parking boot that is.. With his already amazing collection of classic, exotic and rare automobiles, Jay Leno has just added one more specimen – the Koenigsegg Trevita. Number three of three, the Trevita is based on the 1,018-hp CCXR and gets a special Simmering Diamond carbon fiber body, with a diamond coating layered over the special lightweight weave.

Swedish supercar maker Koenigsegg has launched its latest version of the CCX at the Geneva Auto Show to celebrate the brand’s 15 years and the vehicle’s timeless design. Koenigsegg refers to it not as a special edition, however, but a a whole new mode, called the Agera. The name “Agera” has two meanings, the first being from the Swedish verb “to act,” while the second is derived from the Greek “Ageratos, which means “ageless.” Both origins seem incredibly appropriate.

Thanks to photos and information from GTSpirit, we’re able to bring you the very latest supercar from Koenigsegg – the Agera. Looking mostly similar to the CCX, the Agera appears to be some sort of special edition version of the Swedish supercar.

Swedish supercar maker Koenigsegg has canceled its plans to buy the struggling Saab brand from General Motors, leaving the future of the brand in jeopardy.

According to a report in Swedish business daily Dagens Industri (translated by the folks at SaabsUnited), Koenigsegg, the company’s prospective buyer, wants to take the company more up-market while selling fewer vehicles. This would presumably mean higher profit margins, but the proposed plan doesn’t seem to account for the Swedish automaker to turn a profit until at least 2017.

Saab has secured a $610 million loan from the European Investment Bank after the Swedish government said it would stand behind the loan.
