A trio of Audi RS5 race cars will be joining the International Superstars Series this year, one of which will be driven by Gianni Morbidelli, a former Formula 1 racer who won the 2009 International Superstars Series championship.

Out at the annual Nardo Highspeed Test, many machines like 9FF’s Porsche 911 GT3 or G-Power’s BMW M3 came to show off their top speed. German VW/Audi tuner MTM was also on hand, with a shockingly fast car. No, it wasn’t an RS5 or some other brutish monter, but the cute and trendy Audi A1. Motivated by a 500-hp engine the little rocket hit an incredible top speed of 201-mph.

Famed Audi tuner MTM will be debuting their take on the Audi R8 supercar at the 2011 Geneva Auto Show on Tuesday, and you’d have to be blind to miss it, with its fully polished chrome bodywork that took some 700 hours to complete.

Even though we don’t understand a single word of this video, we didn’t have to in order to enjoy every minute of it. GRiP Magazine out in Germany made some solid arrangements to bring on an AC Schnitzer 123d that was built as a police car (apparently in collaboration with the police to promote responsible driving and building safe cars) to play chase to bank robbers in a variety of other modified rides.

The robbers arsenal of cars included MTM’s Audi TT-RS, Techart’s Magnum, and a Challenger SRT-8 that sounds like it was supercharged. Overall the video is very well produced as the robbers rob the bank and take off with the AC Schnitzer BMW in hot pursuit. So we guess in a way this video helped show us what’s the best getaway car if you plan on robbing a bank.

We would’ve been more interested to see if they had a BMW 135 rather than a 123 and how that would stack up against the competition. But for now, we’re a huge fan of MTM’s Audi TT-RS and if we had to choose, we’d probably hop into that without thinking twice. Mostly because it looks good, and you have to look good if you’re going to be committing a crime. Right?

Famed German tuners MTM have gotten their hands on the new Audi RS5 and immediately began to make upgrades.

You have to love a country where you’re legally allowed to drive 280 km/h (174 mph) on the street. And that’s just what German tuner MTM has done with its new Audi RS6 Clubsport model. Plus, they videotaped the experience to share it with the world. And we’re thankful they did.

Hitting a speed of around 280 km/h is by all accounts not the most difficult task for the RS6 Clubsport to do, thanks to 730-hp from it’s tuned 5.0-liter Biturbo V10 engine. When MTM released stats on the car earlier this year it claimed a 0-60 mph time of 4.1 seconds and a quarter mile time of 12.6 @ 124 mph. In true German fashion, however, this beast is tuned for the autobahn with plenty of top-end grunt

The engineers at MTM are self-crazed Audi fanatics. Even though they tune other lines of automobiles including VW, Seat, Skoda, Bentley, Lamborghini, KTM, Spyker and Porsche, their roots date back to the early days of Audi quattro technology. The founder of the company was actually an engineer on the team developing the famed Audi five-cylinder in-line engine and in 1990 he founded MTM which stands for Motoren Technik Mayer.

Audi tuner MTM has just launched a new customization program called MTM Individual, allowing customers to personalize their cars to an even higher level. And to show just how particular some customers can be, the first vehicle to undergo full personalization is an Audi R8 that, among other things, has received a coat of bright green Porsche GT3 RS paint. (Is nothing sacred?)

German Audi tuner MTM is once again pumping out massive horsepower numbers from those Audi powerplants. The company’s latest project is a TT-S, modified to 380 horsepower.
