The all-new 2013 SRT Viper is without a doubt the star of this year’s New York Auto Show. Boasting big numbers, the Viper’s enormous 8.4-liter V10 engine produces 640-hp. Plus, SRT has announced a factory-backed return of the Viper to the American Le Mans Series and international endurance racing.

The new SRT Viper made a huge splash at the New York Auto Show, and most certainly all those who weren’t able to attend the show are starving for more videos of America’s newest mean machine.

We hit the show floor with our cameras to give you all a first look, but now SRT has released its own collection of videos that they’ve most certainly been holding tightly for a very long time. When SRT sought out to create its fifth-generation Viper, they naturally wanted to build the best Viper yet. The following videos detail what the engineering and design team went through and clearly they are proud of what they accomplished.

The 8.4L V10-powered Viper packs 640-hp and 600 lb-ft of torque and we can’t wait to experience it firsthand.

The SRT Viper debuted at the New York Auto Show earlier this week and has become the new, hot, and trending topic since then. As with any vehicle debut, there’s mixed emotions and opinions about it, but overall the reception on the SRT Viper is that it’s a success.

But for most automotive enthusiasts, the new SRT Viper will be an unobtainable vehicle and many will never have the opportunity to drive one. That is unless you own an Xbox 360 and a copy of Forza Motorsport 4. The 2013 SRT Viper will be hitting the virtual racing world long before it will even hit the streets of America.

It is believed that the SRT Viper will be added as a downloadable content (DLC) sometime this summer, well ahead of the Viper’s 2013 sale date. Powered by an 8.4L V10 powerplant with 640-hp and 600 lb-ft of torque, the new SRT Viper also features a Tremec TR6060 six-speed manual transmission.

The most highly anticipated reveal of the 2012 NY Auto Show did not disappoint. Sure it’s has a remarkably similar 8.4-liter V10 engine with 640 hp and 600 lb-ft of torque, but that’s hardly something to complain about.

The all new SRT Viper was revealed today at the 2012 New York Auto Show, along with an announcement from  Chrysler that a race focused GTS-R will be returning to the American Le Mans racing series in 2012. 

The GTS-R will be a non-street legal Viper, and will be backed by an SRT factory team in the Le Mans series. “Racing has been a significant part of the illustrious history of Viper not only with wins on the track, but also in the continued development of the street cars – and our new 2013 SRT Viper models are proof of those lessons learned,” said Ralph Gilles, President and CEO of SRT.

Desperate to get a glimpse of the 2013 Viper when it’s unveiled at the New York Auto Show tomorrow? Why wait?

The SRT Viper got its last teaser before its official debut at the upcoming New York Auto Show, but that didn’t stop talented artist Jon Sibal from releasing his own speculative renderings.

You have to give it up to the folks at SRT, they just don’t give up. Even after their latest teaser campaign on Facebook  failed, they still gave the crowd what they wanted. Today they’ve stopped fishing for likes and released a new image (above) for their loyal fans.

After SRT failed to gather enough Facebook likes, the American automaker still granted its fans the above teaser image, claiming it would be the last before the new Viper debuts at the upcoming 2012 New York Auto Show. 

The DriveSRT Facebook page wasn’t able to garner 2,013 likes in 2,013 minutes but that didn’t stop SRT from changing its own rules in order to gift the world with another teaser image.

As we wait with bated breath to see if the SRT Viper will get  another teaser image leak, we can also look forward to the actual reveal at the upcoming 2012 New York Auto Show, which SRT will broadcast live online.

The all-new SRT Viper has had a very strange approach to its inevitable unveiling. First we had teaser photo after teaser photo, then Hot Wheels may have accidentally leaked what it looked like in pixelated picture form as a  1:64 scale model.

Word is out that the Barracuda, said to replace the Dodge Challenger, will be the first SRT banded car to get Moar’s new 6.2-liter Hemi engine.

After an initial leak of the design of the 2013 SRT Viper by none other than HotWheels, more images of the next-generation American supercar have hit the net.

We’re all anxiously awaiting the arrival of the 2013 SRT Viper by Dodge, scheduled to debut in April at the New York International Auto Show. Until then, all that SRT (or Dodge) has done is tease us with images of the upcoming model. Toy maker Hot Wheels may, however, have just accidentally revealed the new Viper.
