At a special event at Fiat Chrysler’s Auburn Hills, MI, headquarters, assembled media got a first look at the next generation of FCA’s Uconnect infotainment system.

Jeep has announced that 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL owners will not have access to Off-Road Pages, a feature that the brand had been saying was going to arrive for 2018 models at a later date.

The latest 2013 reliability study from Consumer Reports (CR) revealed once again that many folks are unhappy with their in-car infotainment systems, and the issue may be even bigger than the study suggests.

Chrysler announced some enhancements for its UConnect infotainment system today at the Consumer Electronics Show, including a new app enabler called Uconnect Access Via Mobile, and dealer activated GPS navigation. 

Newly introduced in the 2013 RAM 1500 pickup and SRT Viper, Chrysler will offer customers an OnStar-like service through its partnership with wireless company Sprint.

Chrysler has teamed up with Sprint so that its next-generation Uconnect infotainment system won’t need a smartphone to connect to the Internet.
