Not so coy now, are we Toyota?

Well now, color us unsurprised. Two weeks ago Toyota teased a new C-named SUV. We predicted it was the Crown—or rather, a Crown—and now the Japanese brand has confirmed as much with another teaser. Toyota has also confirmed we'll see the whole thing a week from now.

This latest shot shows a clipped view of the rear of the vehicle. Yep, that's definitely a match for the Crown Estate Type, a two-row, five-seat SUV built on the same platform as the existing Crown. For reference, here's what Toyota showed in Japan earlier this year:

For those keeping score at home, this would be the tenth SUV in Toyota's modern lineup, including the soon-to-release reborn Land Cruiser. As for what will power the Crown? Your guess is as good as ours: Toyota did confirm both hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains would be included, but that was in its native Japan market.

November 14 is the two days before the LA Auto Show media day. We'll be in town for the event, so expect more news on this second Crown— not to mention the other mystery vehicle—soon.
