Yokohama Tires has updated its performance-oriented ADVAN line. The new ADVAN Neova AD09 will supplant the Neova AD08 and, according to the manufacturer, offers superior track and street performance. Buyers will have up to 51 sizes to choose from.

The ADVAN Neova is for the performance-oriented driver. “The AD09 is race-born and street-ready and harkens back to Yokohama’s UHP and motorsports heritage,” said Drew Dayton, Yokohama’s senior product planning manager, consumer tires.

According to Yokohama, the AD09 tire relies on a new tread pattern with large, continuous tread blocks to increase the amount of rubber compound in contact with the road for better grip. A high silica compound enhances wet grip, and chamfered grooves improve wear resistance. Yokohama claims the new tire has the strongest and most rigid casing the company has ever offered. “Its high-tech compound, casing, and tread pattern combine the best of racing and science to deliver improved grip for unprecedented performance,” says Dayton.

Buyers considering an upgrade to Yokohama ADVAN tires can look to retailers like TireRack.com for a set.
