SR Auto Group Builds Wald Nissan GT-R

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen the Wald Nissan GT-R, and it surely won’t be the last. This one is built by SR Auto Group in Canada, a company that specializes in luxury and exotic vehicles. While the two-tone black (carbon fiber) and white scheme is nice, we find it a little overwhelming – perhaps a little too much contrast going on. But we have to admit it does look killer overall and very unique.

As obvious, the exterior sports a full Wald Aero Package along with a carbon fiber hood from Seibon and front clear sidemarkers. The wheels are 22-inch Pur Six, which to us, seem a little plain and generic for a Nissan GT-R. Sure the design is clean, but juts doesn’t look … menacing. Under the hood is Cobb’s Stage III performance upgrade and SR’s own Black Label exhaust system. Handling suspension duties is a set of coilovers from T1R.

One thing we’d love to see changed is the rear fenders being molded onto the body rather than riveted on. A nice smooth transition would have set it apart better and perhaps match-painted would make it a nicer, minor rear widebody conversion. But hey, tons of carbon fiber and tons of contrasting white makes for a clean, killer GT-R. We’re still jealous we don’t have our own in our stable.
