Everyone loves a free iPad app, especially one that makes you look sophisticated. And when you download the new Giugiaro Timeline app, you can impress all your friends with your appreciation for the finer things in life.

The famous coachbuilder and industrial design studio Italdesign Guigiaro’s iPad app tracks its history since its founding by Giorgetto Giuguaro in 1968, and runs along the timeline to 2030, showing key moments in Italdesign’s past and future.

The app starts up with an intro that flashes back to vintage pictures that capture key moments and milestones in the automaker’s existence. You’ll see a 30-year-old Giugiaro with his Bizzarrini Manta in 1968, while drawing the Alfasud in 1971, and being awarded the “Car Designer of the Century” in Las Vegas in 1999.

You can go through time quickly and easily. The timeline lets you scroll it back and forward with your finger, and when you tap on a specific year all the automotive and industrial projects developed in that very year will appear on the screen. If you want to know more about that project, just tap on in and a brief description and a photo gallery will pop up.

You can download the app for free here.
