Hard at work, out photographers have captured the first spy photos of the upcoming 2013 Porsche GT3.

Notable give-aways on this car include the GT3-styled front bumper with a significantly more aggressive design and an outlet right before the hood to help direct air over the car to generate downforce. In addition rear shots reveal the dual center exit exhaust pipes. Absent, however, is the massive rear wing, which is expected in the production version.

Power for the new GT3 is expected to reach the 450 hp range from a naturally aspirated flat-six, with rumors that the car might only be available with a PDK dual clutch transmission.

With the new 2012 911 Carrera S able to run a faster lap time than the current GT3, there’s little doubt that the newest GT3 will be the best 911 yet.
