Eric Clapton Bespoke Ferrari Officially Unveiled

Eric Clapton loves Ferraris. The guitar playing legend has owned quite a few of the Italian sports cars over the years, and his newest purchase from the company is a completely bespoke model, built to fit Clapton’s specifications.

What Clapton requested was a 458 Italia, with the exterior styling of a classic Ferrari model, the F12BB. He also asked for the car to be powered by the V12 engine that powers the Ferrari 599, but that proved to be too much engine for the smaller 458. What we are left with is a brand new Ferrari, powered by the 458 Italia’s V8 engine, but with a classic F12BB look blended with some modern day styling cues.

“The world-famous guitar player has been attached to one particular Ferrari model: the 512 BB, of which he has owned three over the years,” claimed the company. “So his desire was to drive a car inspired by this model, with influences from the multi-award winning 458 Italia.”

The car is estimated to be worth $4.75 million, but will probably double in price after Clapton has had his hands on it. If this car ever makes it to auction, look for sky-high prices.
