Disney 'Cars Land' Set to Open June 15 – Video
The kids’ summer vacation is right around the corner, so it’s the perfect time for Disneyland to finally open the gates to its newest attraction, Cars Land. Based on the popular Cars movie franchise, Cars Land is set to open June 15.
Disney went all out for this movie-themed interactive exhibit in Disneyland California – about $3 billion was spent on the attraction. Taking up 12 acres, Cars Land takes you into the world of Radiator Springs, the setting for the first Cars movie.
There’s plenty to do in Cars Land. Stop for a bite to eat at Flo’s V8 Café and get a flashy new paint job at Ramone’s House of Body Art. Take a ride behind a baby tractor at Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree, or if thrills are what you’re seeking, your engine will get revved while racing through Ornament Valley on Radiator Springs Racers. Of course, there are bumper cars – at Luigi’s Flying Tires, the bumper cars float like a puck on an air hockey table.
