Ford has launched its “Trap the Raptor” sweepstakes, where the American automaker will be giving away one grand prize of a brand new 2013 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor.

Instead of just giving away all your personal information so Ford can collect data, the sweepstakes is actually interactive and has multiple ways to enter each day. The free way is to play the game every day and guess what the missing part is in the illustration. Those purchasing parts off the Ford Parts website are also entered into the sweepstakes, while – and this one is pretty comical considering it’s 2012 – you can send a self-addressed stamped envelope to Ford and an entry form and mail-in instructions will be sent back. But that just seems silly.

You’re limited to one entry per day just for playing, but you’ll get an additional entry per day if you guess the missing part. A weekly prize of 1:24 scale die-cast model of a Ford F-150 SVT Raptor will be given away until the contest ends. The sweepstakes is already live, and will end on November 18, 2012.

The mail-in option does seem comically out-of-date, but it's a federal law that they are required to abide by. It seems like the law should be updated to include electronic entry options.

It appears the picture is a 2012. Any good info on changes and options on the 2013?
