2013 Chevy Malibu Turbo Teased on the Race Track – Video
Originally debuting with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder meant for optimum fuel economy, Chevy is now teasing the powerhouse of the Malibu lineup, the Malibu Turbo model which will be available this fall.
Under the hood of the 2013 Malibu Turbo is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that pumps out 259 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. That marks a 7-hp improvement over the last generation Malibu’s V6 option, and should take the car from 0-60 mph in about 6.3 seconds. Better fuel efficiency should also be available from the turbo engine, which will be mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
