Expected in spring of 2013, the next Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series is dropping much of its camouflage today in the latest spy photos.

With a 6.3-liter supercharged V8 under the hood capable of a rumored 600 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque, the hotter version of Mercedes’ tire smoker will come in both gull wing and convertible options. That power is also expected to propel the now-lighter car from 0-60 mph in only 3.5 seconds.

The same high-performance brakes and larger rear wheels are shown as was first spied a few months ago while the car’s impressive width hints at how much more aggressive the car will be than its non-AMG little brother.

When the car finally does come out next year it’s expected to cost around $405,000.
