New additions to the Fiat 500 lineup have already been added in the form of a small crossover and mini-van, and now looks like there might be an even larger 500 with third-row seats.

Leaked patent drawings and live photos from an Italian press event show what appears to be the already announced 500L, with added space in the rear end. Likely called the 500XL, the new Fiat will be able to carry seven passengers thanks to its stretched out back end, that will be about 150mm longer The platform it sits on is called small U.S. wide, and fits in just under the architecture that underpins the Dodge Dart.

Along with the Fiat 500L and 500XL, and new small Jeep offering will also ride on this platform. The Jeep and 500L will surely be coming to the States, but the seven-seat 500XL does not seem likely to follow.

The Fiat 500XL might bow at the Paris Auto Show.

I am not a fan of applying the 500 name to so many vehicles. Way to dilute a brand, but apparently it has worked for Mini. Why not just bring over the Panda??
