Unveiled at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, the Hyundai i20 WRC rally car is gearing up for competition in 2013. To sate appetites, Hyundai released a video of the new mud slinger taking sideways turns.

Specs were not released yet for the car, but it is clear that aerodynamic design has been added to the small hatch, as well as more air intakes for whatever lives under the hood.

The i20 has no direct correlation to an American car, but is closest to the Hyundai Accent.

“The WRC offers the most technologically-diverse challenge for an automotive manufacturer. Our participation will demonstrate Hyundai’s engineering excellence and durability, and will also help to enhance our passenger vehicles in future,” Hyundai Europe’s marketing director Mark Hall said.
