Hyundai has announced that it will be showing off a new premium vehicle concept, called the HCD-14, at the upcoming 2013 Detroit Auto Show.

The HCD-14 concept will preview the upcoming 2014 Hyundai Genesis, as the brand says it will offer “a glimpse into future Hyundai premium vehicle design.” The Korean brand will also unveil a new 3D gesture-based control system in the car that will presumably allow the driver to control in-car tech using only hand gestures.

The upcoming Genesis is said to have improved driving dynamics, as well as the possibility of an AWD system. Engine options are expected to remain the same, with both a 3.8-liter V6 and 5.0-liter V8 available, though they will likely receive some tweaks. The eight-speed automatic will be available in the car from launch, but a new 10-speed unit is rumored to on its way for a later model year.

From the teaser photo, we see that the design of the concept will use a sportback style, similar to the Audi A7.
