SRT Adds 'Core' Performance Models to Lineup

SRT is expanding its “Core SRT” vehicle strategy by adding new models to its 2013 vehicle lineup with the Dodge Challenger SRT8 Core and the Chrysler 300 SRT8 Core.

Starting with the Dodge Challenger SRT8 Core, the American automaker has outfitted the sports coupe with a black grille, black SRT rear spoiler, unique black 392 decals, 20-inch wheels, and black Brembo brake calipers. On the inside, the Challenger receives the same premium “Ballistic” cloth inserts found in the Viper, further complemented by dark slate gray “Axel” cloth bolsters and door bolster inserts.

The Challenger SRT8 continues to be powered by a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine with 470 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. The MSRP for the new 2013 Dodge Challenger SRT8 Core is $38,995 excluding a $995 destination fee.

The 2013 Chrysler 300 SRT8 Core gets a similar set of changes, including the 20-inch wheels and black Brembo brake calipers. Powered by a 6.4-liter HEMI V8, the 300 SRT8 Core also has 470 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. MSRP for the 300 SRT8 Core is $43,995, excluding a $995 destination fee.

Lastly, SRT also announced its 2013 Dodge Charger SRT8 Super Bee model which features a unique SRT badge with a 3D helmeted bee mascot on the Gloss Black front grille. 20-inch, five-spoke wheels have been bolted onto each hub while black Brembo calipers gives it a unique performance look. MSRP for the Charger SRT8 is $41,995, excluding a $995 destination fee and is also powered by the same 6.4-liter HEMI V8 powerplant as the Challenger and 300.
