BMW has announced that its partnership with the Moto GP motorcycle racing league is moving into its 15th season.

BMW provides all of the safety cars to Moto GP, and has done so since 1999. The first race of the season will be held at Losail International Circuit in Qatar, and will be the first time since the 2013 Detroit Auto Show that the BMW M6 Gran Coupe is seen in public.

The M6 Gran Coupe will spearhead the safety car fleet, while there will also be an M6 Coupe, M5, and M3 included in the fleet. Outside of M cars, BMW will also be providing two BMW M550d xDrive Tourings for use as medical cars, and two new BMW HP4s for use as safety cars.
