Fiat has reached a milestone with its 500 model, producing the one millionth unit at the Tychy factory on April 19.

Launched in 2007, the Fiat 500 is sold in 83 countries around the world including Italy, UK, Brazil, South Africa, Poland, US, and Japan. The Fiat 500 is also produced in Mexico, bringing total production to 1.1 million.

Just to show the diversity that Fiat 500 models are sold with, the one-millionth unit to roll off the Tychy factory line was an Abarth 500 with 135 hp in white while the 999,999th Fiat 500 is a red model destined for Italy powered by the 95-hp, 1.3-liter MultiJet engine. As for the 1,000,001th Fiat 500, it’s a light blue 500C heading to Germany.

The milestone for the Tychy factory was achieved in five years and nine months from the vehicle’s launch.
