There’s good news today if you attended this year’s Detroit Auto Show, own a Mustang and caught a case of pony envy after seeing the 2013 Shelby GT500 Super Snake.

Shelby Performance Parts announced today that it will offer the same wide body kit for model year 2005 to 2009 Mustangs. The kit creates space for wider wheels: 10-inch wheels in the front and 13-inch wheels in the rear. The kit includes a new fuel door, the tools needed for installation and instructions.

“The Shelby Wide Body Kit, seen on our candy red Super Snake at the North American International Auto Show, resulted in so many requests from Shelby and Mustang owners, we immediately went to work developing a package to meet the demand,” said Shelby Performance Parts vice president Jer Gervasi. “Now customers can have a Shelby Wide Body Kit customized for their ride, without shipping it to our Las Vegas facilities.”

Customers can choose from a version of the kit that includes both front- and rear-fender modifications for $5,999 or one that only modifies the rear for $3,399. Neither include wheels or tires and Shelby says a version of the kit will be offered for 2010 through 2014 model years starting in the summer.
