The new Toyota Corolla continues its slow strip tease as the brand has just released a new teaser photo of the car, this one showing off a bit of the front end.

Toyota has already shown us a piece of the taillight on the 2014 Corolla, which will fully debut on June, 6. It appears as though the Corolla will have a slightly more aggressive look to it, which was foreshadowed in the Furia Concept.

Under the new sheet metal, many of the mechanicals are expected to stay the same. According to a leaked order guide, the 2014 Corolla will get its power from a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that includes the automaker’s Valvematic continuously variable valve timing and lift system. The current Corolla also uses a 1.8-liter four cylinder, though that engine only has variable valve timing.

A four-speed automatic is expected to stay on as the car’s base transmission, though a CVT is expected to be an available option.

Toyota admitted to AutoGuide that the new Corolla will crack 40 mpg, and be a sportier driving experience than the brand’s current subcompact offering.
