The Automotive Hall of Fame will be inducting five new members on July 25, and among the group are the founders of Aston Martin and former Vice Chairman of General Motors, Robert Lutz.

As Aston Martin celebrates its 100th birthday, its two founders Robert Bamford and Lionel Martin will be honored in this year’s induction. Joining them is David Cole, Founder and Chairman Emeritus of the Center for Automotive Research (CAR), as well as Robert Lutz, former Vice Chairman of General Motors. The last of the inductees for this year’s class is Sir John Young “Jackie” Stewart, one of the world’s top Formula One drivers.

The Automotive Hall of Fame will also honor Harley Earl in a “re-induction” recognition celebration. Early was inducted in 1986, but this year, the Hall of Fame will pay its respects as it celebrates the 60th anniversary of Harley Earl’s first Corvette that rolled off the assembly line on June 30, 1953.

Three people will also be receiving the distinguished service citation award. Bo Andersson for his efforts in reviving the GAZ Group in Russia; Neil De Koker as Founding President and CEO of the Original Equipment Suppliers Association (OESA); and James McElya for returning Cooper-Standard to a healthy, global supplier of automotive systems and components.

Lastly, Lapo Elkann will be awarded the Young Leader and Excellence Award for his experience as director of brand promotion for Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Ferrari, and Maserati.
