This week on AutoGuide, the 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray Review caught the most attention.

Under the hood, a new 6.2L V8 gets variable valve timing, direct injection and cylinder deactivation to make 455 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque.

Second on the list this week is some forbidden fruit, the Volkswagen Scirocco R. Scirocco R’s are powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers 265 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, and are not available in the US.

Third on the list comes the 2013 Ford Edge Review. With a base 285 hp, 3.5-liter V6, an optional 2.0L EcoBoost 4-cylinder makes 240 hp while a 3.7L V6 makes 305 hp. Fuel economy is a best of 21 MPG city and 30 MPG highway for 24 MPG combined while our AWD 3.5L V6 tester is rated 19/27 MPG or 22 MPG combined.

Next up is the 2014 Ford Mustang GT Convertible Review. Under the hood of this beast is a 5.0L V8 that makes 420 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque and is paired to a six-speed automatic or manual transmission.

Lastly, the 2013 Mercedes-Benz ML550 Review just makes the list. The ML550 is powered by a 4.6L twin-turbo V8 engine with 402 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque.
