The official website of Subaru Tecnica International (STI) in Japan has posted up images teasing that the Subaru BRZ STI model will be “coming soon.”

Given the success of the sports car worldwide, it’s no real surprise that the Japanese automaker has an STI variant in the works, though it has kept rather quiet about the model. The only hint as to what we can expect when the BRZ STI debuts was given in the phrase “Purity of Handling,” which means suspension upgrades are a guarantee.

The teaser images also reveals a different side-fender blade on the STI model, as well as STI badging for the BRZ. Let’s just hope that Subaru offers more performance under the hood of the BRZ, rather than just outfitting a model with its goodies and branding it as an STI model.
