Ford is gearing up to unveil the 2015 Mustang in December of this year, but the company will offer a select few auto writers the chance to check out the car next week.

The group of writers, some of which include European auto media, have agreed to not divulge any details to the public until Ford gives them permission. That likely won’t stop some info from leaking out however, so stay tuned for more info on the 2015 Mustang as soon as next week.

A full overhaul is coming to the Mustang this year with new engines, chassis enhancements, suspension setup and transmissions all expected. As part of Ford’s ‘one Ford’ plan to make all vehicles globally available, European customers will be treated to the new Mustang when it debuts, a factor that is changing the makeup of the car.

A new EcoBoost four-cylinder engine is expected, though its regional availability is still unknown. Fully-independent rear suspension is also slated for the 2015 ‘Stang, a major change from its current solid axle setup. Lastly, styling is expected to depart from the current retro theme in favor of something more modern, as seen in our artist’s rendering posted above.

The 2015 Mustang is expected to go on sale by summer of 2014.

I agree, they ruined the Charger name by making it a 4-door
